Can cooking classes be medicine? study tests kitchen lessons for senior health

Summary
This study is testing whether hands-on cooking classes that teach the Mediterranean diet can improve heart health and mental well-being in racially and ethnically diverse seniors aged 55 and older. Researchers will compare 48 participants who take 3 months of cooking classes with 48 who continue their usual diet. They will measure changes in blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and feelings of loneliness or depression.
