Skipping surgery for a torn biceps? new study says it might be an option
NCT ID NCT06602414
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at 30 adults who had a complete tear of the lower biceps tendon but chose not to have surgery. After at least one year, researchers measured their elbow function, arm strength, and fatigue using standard tests and compared the injured arm to the healthy one. The goal was to see if conservative treatment—like rest and physical therapy—can be a good option for this injury.
