First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests a new mechanical heart pump (EVAHEART®2) in 399 adults with severe heart failure. The pump helps the heart pump blood while patients wait for a heart transplant or recover. The study compares this pump to an existing one to see if it works as well or better at keeping patients alive and free from serious complications like stroke.
