First seen Apr 04, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests a new mechanical heart pump (EVAHEART®2) against a current standard pump in 399 adults with advanced heart failure. The goal is to see if the new pump helps people survive until a heart transplant or recover enough to have the pump removed, without major complications like disabling stroke or severe right heart failure. Participants must have severe heart failure symptoms and a weak heart pumping ability.
