NCT ID NCT01283113
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at 110 adults with type 2 diabetes to compare two easy methods of measuring hidden belly fat: a simple waist measurement and a device that uses a mild electrical current (bioelectric impedance). The goal was to see which method better predicts heart disease risk. Participants had one visit for measurements and blood tests, with no treatment involved.
