New study tests best way to help black smokers quit for good

Summary

This study compares three different smoking cessation programs for Black adults who want to quit. The goal is to see which approach—standard quitline services, a more intensive program, or an intensive program with financial rewards—works best for long-term success. About 1,550 participants will be followed for 26 weeks to confirm if they have stopped smoking.
