Weight-Loss surgery showdown: does adding an Anti-Reflux wrap help?
NCT ID NCT04626232
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if adding a Nissen fundoplication (an anti-reflux wrap) to standard sleeve gastrectomy (weight-loss surgery) could better control acid reflux in people with severe obesity. Only 2 people joined before the study was stopped early, so no clear conclusions can be drawn. The main goal was to check for reflux disease and use of acid-reducing medication after surgery.
