First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study compares two common antibiotic combinations to see which one is less likely to harm the kidneys of hospitalized adults with serious infections. About 852 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either vancomycin plus piperacillin/tazobactam or vancomycin plus meropenem. The goal is to help doctors choose the safer option for treating infections while protecting kidney health.
