Summary
This study compared two low-volume laxatives (PEG with ascorbate vs. sodium picosulfate with magnesium citrate) for colon cleansing before colonoscopy. Over 1,100 adults scheduled for colonoscopy took one of the two laxatives, and doctors rated how clean the colon was. The goal was to see which laxative provides better visibility for detecting polyps and cancer, helping improve colon cancer screening.
