Summary
This study compares two drugs, magnesium sulfate and dexmedetomidine, added to standard intravenous anesthesia to see which helps patients wake up faster after lumbar spine surgery. Forty adults scheduled for elective spine surgery will be randomly assigned to receive one of the two drugs. The goal is to find the best way to speed up recovery and reduce pain after surgery.
