Health workers bring diabetes tests to doorsteps in India's slums
NCT ID NCT06209411
First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at whether community health workers can help women in urban Indian slums get tested for type 2 diabetes after having a baby. Women who had diabetes during pregnancy are at high risk, but many miss the recommended test. The trial will compare home-based testing by health workers to usual care, with 330 participants, to see if this approach improves screening rates and catches diabetes early.
