New home care bundle aims to heal bedsores and support caregivers

Summary
This study tests whether a special care plan (called a care bundle) can help heal and prevent bedsores (pressure injuries) in older adults living at home. About 216 people discharged from hospital with a bedsore, along with their family caregivers, will either use the new care plan or continue with usual care. Researchers will check healing over 6 weeks and see how well caregivers learn to manage the sores.
