Training healthcare teams to see the whole person behind the illness
NCT ID NCT07764263
First seen Aug 13, 2026 · Last updated Aug 14, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether an interactive training program can help healthcare professionals better integrate a patient's personal circumstances, values, and daily life into care decisions for serious illness. Hospital teams in the Netherlands—including physicians, nurses, and physician assistants—will take part in two three-hour sessions focused on recognizing and exploring patient context. The effects will be measured through questionnaires, simulated patient interactions, and reviews of medical records to see if care becomes more personalized and person-centered.
