New immunotherapy cocktail targets tough cancers with radiation boost
NCT ID NCT04021043
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a combination of three immunotherapy drugs (ipilimumab, nivolumab, and BMS-986156) with or without precise radiation therapy in 51 people with advanced lung, chest, or liver cancers that had spread. The main goals were to find the safest dose of BMS-986156 and to see if adding radiation helps the immune system fight tumors better. The approach aims to control the disease rather than cure it, as patients may need ongoing treatment.
