New immunotherapy cocktail plus radiation shows promise for tough cancers
NCT ID NCT04021043
First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested a combination of three immunotherapy drugs (ipilimumab, nivolumab, and BMS-986156) with or without precise radiation therapy in 51 adults with advanced solid tumors that had spread to the lung, chest, or liver. The goal was to find the safest dose of BMS-986156 and see if the combination helps the immune system attack cancer more effectively. While not a cure, this approach aims to control the disease and shrink tumors in people with limited treatment options.
