Can a virtual health educator boost cancer screening in native communities?

NCT ID NCT07254910

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a video featuring a virtual tribal community health educator can help more American Indians aged 45-75 get screened for colorectal cancer. About 150 participants in Oklahoma will either watch a real-life testimonial or interact with the virtual educator, then complete a survey and have the option to order a home screening kit. The goal is to see which method reaches more people and improves screening rates.
