First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people hospitalized with a blood infection caused by certain gut bacteria might have undiagnosed colon cancer or precancerous growths. Participants will swallow a small camera (colon capsule endoscopy) a few weeks after leaving the hospital to check their colon. The goal is to learn how common these tumors are in this specific group of patients.
