NCT ID NCT06919068
First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether people hospitalized with a bloodstream infection caused by certain gut bacteria might have undiagnosed colon cancer or precancerous growths. About 100 adults will swallow a tiny camera in a capsule (colon capsule endoscopy) a few weeks after leaving the hospital. The goal is to see how common these tumors are in this group, not to treat them directly.
