First seen Dec 17, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether taking collagen hydrolysate before a meal can improve blood sugar control and digestion in 30 adults with normal or slightly elevated blood sugar (prediabetes). Participants received either collagen or a placebo in a random order, and researchers measured blood sugar, insulin, and stomach emptying after eating. The goal is to see if collagen could be a simple dietary aid for managing blood sugar.
