New combo technique may keep colon polyps from returning

NCT ID NCT06937671

First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study tests whether a mix of hot and cold techniques to remove large colon polyps (20 mm or bigger) can reduce the risk of polyps growing back without increasing side effects. About 194 adults will be randomly assigned to one of two removal methods and will have a follow-up scope 3 to 6 months later. The goal is to find a safer, more effective way to manage these polyps.
