First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests a computer tool called CoDE-HF that helps doctors quickly diagnose acute heart failure—a sudden inability of the heart to pump blood. The tool combines a blood test (NT-proBNP) with patient information to give a probability of heart failure. Researchers will study about 2,000 emergency room patients with shortness of breath to see if the tool improves diagnosis and outcomes.
