First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests a computer tool called CoDE-HF that helps doctors quickly diagnose acute heart failure, a sudden inability of the heart to pump blood. The tool combines a blood test (NT-proBNP) with patient information to give a probability of heart failure. Researchers will study about 2,000 people with sudden breathlessness in the emergency department to see if the tool works well. The goal is to speed up diagnosis and improve outcomes.
