First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at whether spending time at the Belgian coast can improve physical and mental health in adults aged 60 and older. Sixty retired participants will take walks in both coastal and urban settings while wearing sensors to track heart rate and skin responses. They will also provide saliva samples and complete cognitive tests to measure stress, attention, and sleep quality. The goal is to see if the coastal environment offers unique health benefits compared to a city setting.
