Beach walks may sharpen minds and lower stress in seniors
NCT ID NCT06893224
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether spending time at the Belgian coast can improve physical and mental health in people over 60. Sixty retired adults will take a walk along the coast and another walk in the city on different days. They will wear sensors to measure heart rate and stress, give saliva samples, and complete attention tests. The goal is to see if the coastal environment helps lower stress and boost thinking skills compared to an urban setting.
