First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 04, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tested a program to help adults who take prescribed opioid medications also reduce their alcohol use. 112 people who filled opioid prescriptions at community pharmacies and reported current alcohol use took part. The program adapted an existing intervention for opioid misuse, and researchers checked if it was acceptable and feasible. Results will inform a larger future study.
