New drug tested for tough liver disease

NCT ID NCT05104853

Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called CNP-104 in adults with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a chronic liver disease, who weren't responding well to standard medications. Forty-two participants received either CNP-104 or a placebo infusion to check its safety and see if it could improve liver health and symptoms like itching over two years of follow-up.
