Summary
This study tested an experimental drug called CNP-104 in adults with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC), a liver disease, who were not responding well to their current medications. The main goals were to see if the drug was safe and if it could help control the disease by reducing liver inflammation and symptoms like itching. Forty-two participants received either the drug or a placebo (inactive substance) and were followed for two years.
