First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated Jun 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests a vaccine called Triplex to prevent cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in adults who have received a stem cell transplant. CMV is usually harmless but can be life-threatening for people with weakened immune systems. The vaccine uses harmless virus pieces to train the body's defenses. The trial enrolled 7 participants and monitored them for CMV reactivation from day 100 to day 180 after transplant.
