New wound dressing may improve healing after breast reconstruction
NCT ID NCT07546968
First seen Apr 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a special vacuum-assisted wound dressing (ciNPWT) helps reduce complications after breast reconstruction surgery using the patient's own tissue. Researchers reviewed records of 253 women who had this surgery between 2012 and 2025. They compared those who got the special dressing to those who got standard bandages, checking for flap survival, wound problems, healing time, and hospital stay length.
