Summary

This study tests whether giving pregnant women personalized heat alerts, cooling tips, and indoor air cleaners can reduce their exposure to heat and air pollution, and improve sleep quality. About 102 healthy pregnant women in Italy and Cyprus will be split into groups: some get only advice, some get advice plus air cleaners, and others get no intervention. Sleep quality is measured with a standard questionnaire and a wearable device over three months.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
behavioral recommendations and indoor air cleaners
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer simple, low-cost ways to help pregnant women sleep better and stay healthier during hot weather.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study (102 participants) testing behavioral changes, not a drug or device. Results may not apply to other regions or populations.
