New app aims to bring Real-Time glucose data to hospital staff

NCT ID NCT06899503

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special mobile app can reliably send blood sugar readings from continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) used by children with diabetes in the hospital to a central database. Currently, this data is only available on bedside devices, not to the care team in real time. About 20 children will participate, and researchers will check if the app captures the same readings as the official CGM system. The goal is to make it easier for doctors and nurses to monitor glucose levels and improve care.
