New study tracks heart disease in rare genetic disorder

Summary
This study watches how heart disease develops and changes over time in 65 people with Friedreich ataxia, a rare genetic condition. Participants must be at least 6 years old and have a thickened heart muscle. The goal is to learn more about the disease, not to test a new treatment.
