Can a brain supplement slow Alzheimer's? new study investigates link to sleep

NCT ID NCT06029894

Summary

This study tested whether a dietary supplement called citicoline could improve sleep and affect biological markers related to Alzheimer's disease in older adults with mild memory problems. One hundred participants were randomly assigned to receive either the supplement or a placebo for three months. Researchers measured changes in sleep quality, daytime sleepiness, and levels of specific proteins in the blood or spinal fluid that are linked to Alzheimer's.
