Community health workers step in to boost diabetes tech for black youth

Summary
This study looks at whether a community health worker (CHW) can act as a diabetes technology coach for Black children with type 1 diabetes who use an automated insulin delivery system but still have high blood sugar (HbA1c of 8% or higher). Over 6 months, families meet monthly with the CHW, fill out questionnaires, and have an interview. Then they go 6 months without extra help while researchers track their blood sugar data. The goal is to see if this support improves blood sugar control and use of the technology.
