Summary
This study aimed to understand why some wounds don't heal by looking for hidden layers of bacteria called biofilms. Researchers observed 130 adults with wounds lasting over 6 weeks, collecting samples to examine under microscopes. The goal was to link what they saw in the lab with how the wounds looked and were treated in real life.
