First seen Dec 29, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at 130 patients with chronic wounds to find out if biofilm (a slimy layer of bacteria) is present. Researchers used special microscopes to examine wound samples and compared findings with medical records. The goal was to better understand how biofilm affects wound healing, not to test a new treatment.
