Summary
This study looked at whether the weekly performance of a favorite NFL team affects pain and mood in adults with chronic pain. Over 32 avid football fans completed weekly surveys during the regular season. The goal was to see if emotional ups and downs from sports fandom are linked to changes in pain intensity and depression.
