Summary
This study looked at whether the weekly wins or losses of a favorite NFL team affect chronic pain, mood, and negative thinking about pain. 32 adults with long-term back or neck pain who are avid football fans completed weekly surveys during the football season. The goal was to see if emotional ups and downs from sports are linked to changes in pain.
