Summary
This study followed 204 adults who had a kidney removed to find out why some develop chronic pain lasting months or years. Researchers measured pain levels right after surgery, at 3 months, and at 1 year. They also looked at factors like age, weight, and smoking to see which ones increase the risk of long-term pain.
