New device aims to speed up constipation diagnosis in routine visits

Summary
This study looks at how a new bedside device, called the Rectal Expulsion Device (RED), can help doctors evaluate chronic constipation during a regular office visit. About 109 adults with chronic constipation will use the device and complete a survey. The goal is to see if using this tool leads to more appropriate testing and treatment referrals.
