NCT ID NCT05365425

First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether choline fenofibrate, a drug that lowers fats in the blood, can reduce plaque buildup in the neck arteries of people with type 2 diabetes and mixed high cholesterol. About 56 adults will receive either choline fenofibrate or a comparison drug (policosanol) for several months. The main goal is to see if the drug slows or shrinks artery plaque measured by 3D ultrasound.
