First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 38 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple ultrasound of the voice box can help predict choking or pneumonia risk in people who recently had a stroke. Researchers will check vocal cord movement with ultrasound and then follow 200 patients for one year to see who develops choking or lung infections. The goal is to better understand and possibly prevent these complications.
