Summary
This large international project aims to prevent childhood obesity by testing community-based programs that encourage healthy eating and physical activity. It will involve about 36,000 children aged 6-13 from disadvantaged urban areas across six countries. Researchers will measure children's body mass index (BMI) and quality of life over two years to see if the local programs are effective.
