Scientists probe gut link to lingering cancer survivor symptoms
NCT ID NCT07450872
Summary
This study aims to understand why many childhood cancer survivors continue to experience groups of symptoms like fatigue, pain, and depression long after treatment ends. Researchers will follow 600 survivors aged 8-18, asking them to complete questionnaires and provide stool samples over time. The goal is to see if changes in gut bacteria are connected to these symptom patterns, which could lead to better management strategies in the future.
