Summary
This study is testing whether chewing xylitol gum for 4 weeks can help daily smokers reduce or quit smoking. Researchers will compare 134 smokers who receive the gum plus text message reminders to those who only get basic quitting advice. The main goal is to see if using the gum leads to more people being smoke-free after 6 months.
