This study tested whether a simple checklist could reduce dangerous MRSA infections after joint replacement or heart surgery. Over 23,000 veterans took part across 10 VA hospitals. The checklist included steps like testing for MRSA before surgery and using special cleaning methods. Researchers also looked at whether the checklist saved money and what made it easy or hard to use.
