Scientists seek clues to male infertility in tissue samples
NCT ID NCT06045702
Summary
This study aims to understand how the CFTR gene is controlled in cells from the epididymis, a part of the male reproductive system. Researchers will collect small tissue samples from 20 men already scheduled for specific surgeries related to infertility, cystic fibrosis, or a condition called congenital bilateral absence of the vas deferens. The goal is to build knowledge about the genetic causes of male infertility, not to provide direct treatment to participants.
