Scientists probe gene regulation in male fertility disorder
NCT ID NCT06045702
First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looks at how the CFTR gene is organized and controlled in cells from the epididymis, a part of the male reproductive system. Researchers will collect leftover tissue from 20 men already scheduled for surgery, including those with cystic fibrosis or a condition causing male infertility. The goal is to better understand why some men are infertile due to missing vas deferens, a symptom related to cystic fibrosis.
