Could ultrasound replace radioactive tracers in cancer surgery?

NCT ID NCT07310758

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special ultrasound with contrast dye can find the first lymph node where cancer might spread, instead of using the standard radioactive method. About 91 adults with melanoma, breast cancer, or head & neck cancer will take part. If it works, it could make the procedure safer and simpler.
