Summary
This study tested a non-drug treatment called cranial electrical stimulation (CES) for fibromyalgia pain in 50 veterans. CES uses a small device to send a mild electrical current through the head, aiming to change how the brain processes pain. Researchers used brain scans to see if CES actually changes pain-related brain activity. The goal was to find a safer, opioid-free way to manage chronic pain.
