First seen Feb 20, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study looks at 269 people with cervical myelopathy, a condition where the spinal cord in the neck is squeezed, causing problems like clumsy hands and trouble walking. The goal is to find out if surgery from the front or the back of the neck works better for improving quality of life and spinal function one year after the operation. Researchers will also check how much healthcare is used and how neck alignment affects recovery.
